When Insurance Claims Go Wrong: My Journey to Finding an Insurance Lawyer and How Hillspan Insurance Brokers Changed Everything

Friday is that one day of the week, where before it reaches 7 o’clock my mind is always racing around, on the lookout for something evil to do, but not this lastweek,this is because my mum was sick and I knew that I had it under control because she is on a comprehensive medical cover by one of the remarkable insurers ( that is what I had in mind at the time)so I did what everyone with an insurance cover would do, that is to call my insurer and ask for a guarantee of payment, I guess this is where everything went south, because this call was just that one thing, I would have chosen to skip as part of my day, had I been shown the trailer of how my day would be that Friday, imagine after taking me round through different people hold the call as I wait for my call to be processed, I landed on this lady who read me clauses, inclusions and exclusions surrounding my cover, for a period close to eternity, then she concluded her speech with the statement, ‘sorry this will not be covered’, this was an indication that all the cash I had put aside to finance my Friday Evil desires were to be redirected towards my mum’s hospital bill.

It is after that call my mum’s insurer made to me that I decided to also get myself an insurance lawyer, because why would anyone read me all those clauses and deny to pay the bills? What is the point of going through life knowing somebody’s got you, then waking up to disappointment? When you need them the most and it’s not my fault, it is public knowledge that we all do not read the term and conditions of our covers, it is too wordy I almost feel like, the one who came up with it knew we would not read and he/she will get away with our cash by referring us to the same terms and conditions when we call for claims, he/she must be a genius huh!
